Chef Lauren’s Olive Oil Pie Crust

Enjoy this simple and easy recipe for pie crust, no mixing equipment, no slowly working butter into crust and the best part is using healthy and flavorful EVOO instead of butter or shortening.


2/3 cup of We Olive Mission Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1/3 cup of water

2 cups of All Purpose Flour

1 Teaspoon of salt



Whisk 2/3 cup of Olive oil and 1/3 cup of water with fork for 2-3 minutes until emulsified. You will know it is ready when Olive Oil and water have become one and created a cloudy appearance.pie3

Add salt and flour continue mixing with fork. Spread on pie4floured cutting board to finish combining by hand. Once mixture becomes tacky and well combined wrap in plastic wrap and place in fridge for 10 minutes.pie5

Roll out with floured rolling pin to desired shape. Once you have lined pie pan or tart pan with dough pierce crust with fork all over and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees to encourage a crispy and flaky crust. Then use desired filling. Should make enough dough for bottom of pie crust and top.     pie6
